Project overview
Backend Engineering Projects at Work
Enhancing System Efficiency with Scalable Microservices
- Real-time Audit Logging:
- Implemented and integrated audit events across micro-services using Pub/Sub and Kubernetes, significantly improving log management and debugging efficiency.
- Bulk App Installation Service:
- Designed and developed a standalone application using Spring Batch for asynchronous processing, enabling seamless bulk installation of apps for 800K+ merchants. This eliminated manual updates and application timeouts, streamlining the entire process.
- Automated Device Shipping System:
- Collaborated in a team of 5 engineers to build a micro-service for device shipping automation, leveraging Spring Boot, Spring Quartz, and Google Kubernetes Engine, ensuring efficient and scheduled workflows.
- Monolith to Microservices Migration:
- Led the transition of VM-based micro-services to Kubernetes on Google Cloud, optimizing service independence and reducing infrastructure costs by 60%. Also updated critical libraries and eliminated dependencies to enhance system scalability.
These projects showcase my expertise in scalable backend development, cloud-native architectures, and automation-driven solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

Hackathon Idea Turned Into a Company Initiative
During my first year as a Technology Analyst at Fiserv, I participated in the Fiserv Global Hackathon—an experience that transformed an innovative idea into a company initiative.
While working on Clover, I identified a gap in the shipping process—engineers lacked real-time tracking for device shipments. To address this, I pitched the idea of a centralized dashboard that would provide seamless tracking of device shipments across the globe.
The idea received special recognition from senior leadership and was later incorporated into the company’s roadmap. I had the privilege of leading the effort to design and implement a micro-service that brought this vision to life, enhancing operational efficiency and shipment visibility for engineers.
